Chani made our camp memory video and the parents wouldn’t stop emailing. Calm on set, super organized, and the final cut made me cry the first time.

Hi, I’m Chani.
I’ve been making video since 2019 — founder of READI/STEADI, based in Jackson, NJ. My style is modern, clean, and emotionally polished. Fresh colors, smooth pacing, clean typography, and a soft creative edge that feels current without trying too hard.
What that really means: I care about your project. I put myself into it all the way, I answer my own email, and I treat the work like it’s my own. I’d rather make one film I’m proud of than three I’m fine with.
- I communicate — updates, drafts, check-ins, real timelines.
- Client happiness isn’t a goal, it’s the whole thing.
- I show up prepared and I deliver on time.
Three simple stages.
No surprises.
You always know where we are — and where we’re going next.
We start with a conversation.
A short call to learn what you want, what you don’t, and what would make this film feel like yours. From there I send a plan, a quote, and a real timeline.
I show up prepared.
Cameras and audio dialed in before I walk through the door. I move through your day or your shoot without making it about me. Calm, on-time, on-task.
I take my time on the cut.
Color, sound, music, story — every pass tightens the film. You’ll see previews along the way and I deliver in the formats you actually need.

What clients say.
The quotes below are from real conversations — full versions on request.
We hired Chani for a parlor meeting film and she delivered something we’re still using a year later. Easy to work with, fast to respond, and the work speaks.
The Sheva Brachos video felt like the night. Personal, warm, and edited so beautifully — our family watches it over and over. Worth every dollar.
The usual questions.
If you don’t see yours, just text or email me — I answer fast.
How do I get started?
Send me a note through the contact form, or just text 732.539.9952. Tell me what the project is, the date (if there is one), and the feeling you’re after. I’ll reply with a few questions, a quote, and a real timeline — usually within a business day.
Which programs do you use?
I edit primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro with DaVinci Resolve for color grading. Audio cleanup in Adobe Audition. Capture on professional 4K cameras with dedicated lavalier and shotgun audio.
If you need a specific deliverable format — vertical for Instagram, square for paid ads, captions burned in — I’ll match it.
How fast will I receive my video?
Most projects deliver in 2–4 weeks from the final shoot day. Quick-turn social cutdowns can be next-day if we plan for it. Big camp memory videos or feature-length pieces typically need 4–6 weeks for a careful edit.
You’ll see a first draft about halfway through, with room for two revision rounds before final delivery.
How much is a 20-minute video for my niece’s Sheva Brachos?
A 20-minute family event film generally lands in the $1,800–$3,200 range, depending on travel, the length of the event, and how polished the edit needs to be (music licensing, color grade, captions, multiple cuts).
Send me the date and the venue and I’ll come back with an exact quote within a day.
Do you travel?
Yes — I’m based in Jackson, NJ and cover the entire tri-state area without travel fees. Beyond that I’m happy to travel; I just add reasonable travel costs to the quote up front, no surprises.
A small, careful
film studio.
I believe a film should feel handmade.
Story comes first — before the gear.
Communication is part of the craft.
Color and sound matter just as much as picture.
I answer my own email.
And I only take work I can do well.
Let’s make
something together.
Tell me about your project — the date, the people, the feeling you’re after. I reply to every inquiry, usually within a business day.
